Those final items

I have almost everything in my suitcase. Tonight, I will be staying up putting labels on my dvd's and my resume and business cards inside the dvd cases. Fun night, huh?

My mom and I got euros.

I still need to pack detergent and one more dress (mom is altering it as we speak).

Then I should be good to go!

Mom just called to tell me to try on the dress. I hope I get a red carpet invite simply to wear that dress... and because it would be awesome to walk the carpet.

After reading my French book, here are two common phrases I will be saying:

Je suis touriste.
I'm a tourist.

Je ne parle pas francais.
I do not speak French.

Wish me luck!

Au revoir!

  1. Two key phrases -
    say Hello - Bonjour!
    and
Parlez vous anglais? - Do you speak English?
It breaks the ice because you are attempting to speak the native tongue. Many Frenchmen are speakers of English also. Have fun! Look up Kate Houston - former BK yearbook adviser/English teacher - she is living there now. I know she is on FB.

  2. Very cool you are going to Cannes, did you submit a film? Good luck, you will have a blast.
